Branches
Most of the social and fund raising activities in the constituency are run by the branches. Many members find that these provide sufficient involvement based locally amongst friends. Many branch events are open to all members of the Association. They are listed in the main diary of events.
The Branches are part of the Association and are based on the constituency Wards. Each branch is run by a committee that is responsible for raising funds and keeping in contact with members through social events. The branches also play an essential role in organising the local activities at elections.
For details of your nearest branch, contact the NWCA office, 01249 446209.

Political Supper Club
Each month we hold an informal political discussion chaired by James Gray, usually in a pub. It is called the Political Supper Club because after about 90 minutes of often quite spirited debate, most participants continue over supper. A theme or subject is usually announced in advance. The Supper club is open to members and supporters and often attracts over 50 people. There is usually no need to book, and all the discussions are listed in the main diary of events.
To be put on the mailing list, contact the NWCA office, 01249 446209.

Selecting Candidates and Campaigning
The Association is ultimately responsible for selecting election candidates and for running campaigns. Prospective councillors are selected in conjunction with the branches, who are also actively involved in running the election campaigns. Members of the association select the parliamentary candidate. Members can therefore have an important influence on future Conservative representation.
If you would like to be actively involved in campaigning, or if you would like to stand as a prospective councillor, please contact the NWCA office, 01249 446209.
