The Conservative Party in North Wiltshire
The North Wiltshire Conservative Association represents members of the Conservative Party in the parliamentary constituency of North Wiltshire.
Our aim is to ensure Conservative representation at all levels of government.
Constituency
The Association boundaries are aligned with those of the revised constituency that took effect from the 2010 General Election. It includes the towns of Calne, Malmesbury and Wootton Bassett.
With its previous boundaries, the association has returned a Conservative MP since the constituency was created in 1983. Our MP, James Gray was elected in 2010 with a majority of 7483. His share of the votes and majority increased over 2005.
Council
The constituency is divided into Wards. Each Ward elects a councillor to Wiltshire Council, a unitary authority. Elections are held every four years, most recently in June 2009. The Council is controlled by the Conservatives.
